Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on Lavaca County Criminal History. Continued use means that you accept them. If you disagree with any condition, do not use the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The resource points readers toward Lavaca County and Texas record offices. It is neither a private investigator nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent of every government office. It does not store official criminal records, obtain records, conduct official checks, or submit filings.

Its role is to identify the Lavaca County Sheriff, relevant court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and other official sources. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool must not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 62.063 specifically bars using Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information to injure, harass, or commit a crime against a registrant. Registry access supports safety awareness, not vigilante action or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and create no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Our partners' tools are not offered here for an FCRA-regulated decision. You may not use site or linked-tool data to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any legally permissible regulated check must come from the proper official or FCRA-compliant provider, not from this resource.

5. No Legal Advice

General information about Lavaca County records is not legal advice. A licensed Texas attorney should address how a warrant, charge, conviction, nondisclosure, or expunction law applies to a particular matter.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, outcomes, restrictions, and records can change. Gaps or delays may occur, and no content here is an official statement from the sheriff, a court, or any Texas agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to government pages, court portals, legal resources, and outside search services. We do not control a destination's availability, content, fees, or data practices. Its own terms apply after you leave.

8. Intellectual Property

Lavaca County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from site use, linked services, or reliance on information found through either.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, actions, costs, and legal fees caused by your site use or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms take effect when the new version is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be limited only as needed.
